Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older.
WHEN IS NIGHT TO SHINE?
Night to Shine 2025 will take place on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Gulliot University Center at the University of North Alabama. The physical address is 131 Shelby Way, Florence, AL 35630.
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE IN NIGHT TO SHINE?
Our Night to Shine guests are people with special needs ages 14 and older.
Our Night to Shine volunteers are individuals 16 and older who are eager to create an incredible experience for our guests. Any Night To Shine volunteer under the age of 18 is required to have a permission slip signed by a parent or caretaker.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Night to Shine offers a captivating prom-like experience, where we invite you to embrace the opportunity to dress up and enjoy the festivities. However, we want to emphasize that it is not necessary to purchase an elaborate outfit if you prefer not to. Your comfort is of utmost importance to us, ensuring that you are ready to revel in a night filled with dancing and joy.
DO WE FEED ANYONE OTHER THAN THE HONORED GUESTS & VOLUNTEERS?
At Night to Shine Shoals, we are dedicated to celebrating our honored guests and supporting our volunteers. While we truly value and welcome the participation of family members, we regret that we are unable to extend our meal planning and expenses beyond our honored guests and volunteers. Thank you for your understanding and support.
DO FAMILY MEMBERS GET HOSPITALITY BAGS OR T-SHIRTS?
At Night to Shine Shoals, we are unable to provide hospitality bags or t-shirts to family members. These items are reserved for our honored guests and volunteers. We appreciate your understanding and support.
DOES NIGHT TO SHINE SHOALS PAY FOR LODGING & TRAVEL?
